Come As You Are

When we opened MaZi last October we had an idea of who our customer segment would be, but nothing would've prepared us for the amazing individuals that we'd meet here. Our students come from all walks of life, but the common thread is that they want to be fit, inspired and move to the music!

So what attracts us to dance? It might be as simple as the fact that there is no facade in dance. When we dance, we have no choice but to be ourselves, exert genuine effort and create magic and fantasy out of our own authenticity. There is no hiding behind a trendy workout outfit because it doesn't really matter what you're wearing, what size you are, or what happened at work earlier that day. The only thing that matters in that hour is connecting your spirit with your mind and body in a musical coincidence. The physical fitness benefits are just the cherry on top. Welcome all dancers!

Kids in Dance- a gift for life

Young people who consistently participate in comprehensive, sequential, and rigorous arts programs are: 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement 3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools 4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair 3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance 4 times more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem.
